How wonderful to see your farm. Michael may have told you that his maternal grandfather (my father) was raised on a dairy farm. They raised corn for the cows and had large gardens for the family's use. I spent summers at my family farms building stone fences and eating vegetables from the garden...dirt and all! We also had to care for the cows and goats and chickens. At night all of the cousins slept on the summer porches because it was too warm in the big farm house and our uncle and older cousins would wake us all up at once before sunrise to do chores. Often we helped with egg gathering and sending the cows to pasture and getting breakfast ready for family and farm hands. We were up before the sunrise and often fell asleep before lunch. We got up again to help our Aunt make lunch for everyone...fresh lemonade and a big table of food so that everyone had plenty of food to finish out the chores of the day. My favorite thing to do was to go with my cousins to the fields to bring in the cows and set them up for milking. The cows each had a name and were very friendly.
I love to see your family grow up AND grow larger, too. I admire your family and think they are amazing and beautiful.
It is exciting that Ari and Mike have their son to hold and love. I wish I were there to let Hiroto know how much I love him and his parents.
Keep up your blog site. I love to know how you and the family are doing.
